When you meet someone who shares the same passion, the same love for a place, and the same drive to build something meaningful, things move naturally and teaming up feels easy..
That’s how the partnership with Carola began. We bring different strengths, but our values and goals align. Today, ciaocycling grows from a one-woman project into a duo — Caro & Caro.
Yes, it’s a little confusing that we share the same name — but maybe that’s the first sign that this partnership was meant to be. Two Caros, one project, and the same love for cycling and Italy.
I founded ciaocycling to create something personal: bike camps and tours that aren’t just about kilometers and watts, but about connection, discovery, and those small Italian moments that make riding here so special.
In the past, I’ve guided riders across Lake Garda, Verona, and Valpolicella, and I launched the first women-only gravel camp on Lake Garda — and I had the dream of turning ciaocycling into something bigger. Not just rides and camps, but a project that could keep growing, evolving, and offering riders even more unique experiences.
That’s where Carola Skarabela comes in. Carola brings two decades of cycling experience, both on and off the bike. She has lived and worked in Italy for many years, shaped international cycling brands, and knows exactly how to combine performance with lifestyle.
Most importantly, she shares the same values: small groups, authentic experiences, and cycling as a way to feel free. When I met Carola, it quickly became clear that she was the perfect person to team up with — someone whose strengths, passion, and vision aligned seamlessly with what I had imagined for ciaocycling.
Our Vision and Plan for ciaocycling
Together, we want to grow ciaocycling into something bigger:
- Camps that balance performance, safety, and fun.
- Small-group adventures where every rider gets personal attention.
- Carefully designed routes on gravel and road that take you off the beaten path.
- And of course: Italian lifestyle at its best — espresso, aperitivi, good food, and shared laughter.
The first 2026 gravel camps are already scheduled — and we’re working on more projects with partners that will make each experience unique.
Alongside, we both continue to bring our expertise into other areas of the cycling world. I (Carolina) work as a consultant and designer at carolinadianarossi.com — leading projects with graphic design, websites, UX, and overall tourism concepts. Carola runs her own agency, SKA Sportconnection, where she works as a freelancer in communication, design, events, and marketing, always with a strong link to cycling and outdoor sports.
A new Chapter
