With dramatic lake views, winding climbs, and a deep cycling tradition (this is the land of Il Lombardia<\/em>, after all), it\u2019s no surprise the pros train here \u2014 but it\u2019s just as magical for everyday riders.<\/p>

I was born and grew up near Varese<\/strong>, and I\u2019ve spent countless hours training on these roads \u2014 they hold a special place in my cycling journey.<\/p>

Lake Como<\/strong> offers iconic climbs like the Ghisallo<\/strong> and Muro di Sormano<\/strong>, along with elegant lakeside roads and postcard villages. Lugano<\/strong>, just across the Swiss border, adds alpine flavor and smooth, hilly routes. And Varese<\/strong> is a local favorite for rolling loops, scenic backroads, and forested gravel trails \u2014 perfect for base miles or peaceful exploration.<\/p>
